There are more and more expats in Berlin and not many hypnotists or hypnotherapists around who can help with this extremely effective method. I have lived and studied in the US and did my coaching and some therapy training in the UK. I am internationally certified and I am looking forward to working with you in my very quiet office in the heart of Charlottenburg!

So, why hypnosis in the first place?

Well, simply put- because it is a highly effective method. Actually the best therapy method that I have ever encountered. And I can tell you why it is so powerful: most therapy methods work with the conscious mind. But by understanding something consciously (to give you a clear example: we all know that smoking is dangerous and it is still hard to quit), quite often nothing really changes to a a degree that we can say: great, now I feel much better.  So, if the conscious mind, and that includes our willpower, doesn’t really change things around, what it is then? You guessed it- our subconscious mind that rules our world over 95% of the day anyway, our autopilot. It does what we feed it with and doesn’t question if it’s good or bad. So a lot of things can happen in our lives where we feel helpless and would like to know a way out. We want to feel better by being able to change what needs to be changed, by gaining new perspectives on former unsolvable problems, or by getting out of stuck positions. Hypnosis also works incredible well for treating phobias and trauma in one single session. I am still often amazed myself at the magic outcomes of hypnosis…

How long do I need and how does a session work?

The length depends on your issue, of course. Most issues take no longer than four sessions. If you want to quit smoking a single session of 1,5 hours is enough. A normal session is 1,5 h long. We evalute the situation, do some regular assessment, maybe use some other methods like Emotional Freedom Technniques, EMDR or even cognitive methods to deal with negative emotions and finish with a hypnosis of about 30 minutes. Before the first session you have already filled out a questionnaire that saves us time and gives me valuable information for the course of our time together.

You will get a hypnosis to take home with you, so that you can continue working with it! I am using the Hypnosa System that I have developed together with my colleague Achim Steffes. The difference to other systems is that we put a great emphasis on a close cooperation with our clients. We will not leave you alone. We give you input for self-help, in some cases send you motivational texts and offer you the possiblity to always contact us at no further costs via telephone or email if something is coming up during the course of the therapy and for some time after.

In the first session we evaluate your issue and do some first time hypnosis that cuts out all doubts you may have about hypnosis and trance states. You will feel comfortable with it and definitely look forward to the next session, where we get to the source of your problem and eliminate it. Yes, that might not always be pleasant, but the smile on your face at the end of the session will be absolutely worth it.
